My name is Elizabeth (aka EBB) and I’m an avid foodie and traveler. My first two consecutive words at age two were “eat out” and I was precociously choosing escargots over hamburgers in Paris at the age of six.
My personal philosophy is to take advantage of unique or interesting opportunities that present themselves. This has led to taking trapeze classes, competing in a dragon-boat race, eating rocky mountain oysters, volunteering at a monkey sanctuary in England, and attending the World Championship Punkin Chunkin, among others.
This philosophy has also led to living in Denmark and Poland, although I grew up in South Florida and later moved to Washington, DC (via Ithaca, NY).
This blog started in November 2009, when I moved to Singapore to study food history and culture, specifically at hawker centres. There was some eating involved. Starting in September 2010, I will be studying the Anthropology of Food in London. There will probably be some more eating involved.
